Ijen Volcano Shared trip – This Ijen tour package is made for traveller who seeks for another adventure experience while they are in Indonesia with low budget. the trip will start from Bali and back to Bali only in one day. the trip will divide two different sevices, Private service from your place in Bali to Gilimanuk ferry port and return, and shred trip in Java and hiking to the volcano.
Private service part :
Our crew will pick you up from your place (Hotel or Airport ) at around 07.00 pm Bali time, then heading to western tip of Bali island called Gilimanuk, the journey takes around 4 hrs drive. after that we take ferry (Public transportation) to get to Java Island (Banyuwangi city) for another 1 hr.
Shared trip part :
After we arrived in Java island we will joint with other group to get to Ijen Volcano by car for another 1 hour 15 minutes drive. after that we will meet with our local hiking tour guide (English speaking), He will give us Explanation before start hiking up to Ijen Volcano for around 5 hours in total up and down. the hike open/ start at 02.00 am java time and we will back to car at around 07.00 am. During our hiking, our driver will wait and stay in the car until we come back from mountain, so it’s possible for us to leave some stuff in the car.
Hiking activity :
Before we start to hike, our guide will provide some equipment such us Headlight, Goggles and Gas mask or you. at 02.00 am Java time, everyone will start hiking to the summit, it’s 3,5 km away in distance, it will take 1,5 hours hike. after we reach the summit we still have to go down to the bottom of the crater for another 30 minutes (700 meters) to see the blue fire closer. Beside The Phenomenon of Blue fire, we also can see the lake view with the most acidic water in this world with the acidity up to 0,5 ph from this volcano after the Sun rises up. and also it’s possible to us to see the Sunrise from the top of Ijen volcano (the best time is during May – September).
After enjoyed the view from the volcano, we hike down back to car for another 2 hours. our java driver will drive back us to Java ferry terminal for another 1,5 hours. He will assist us to buy and get your ferry tickets back to Bali. after take ferry back to Bali, we’ll meet your Bali driver (the same person) and he will drive you back to your place in Bali (Private service). you’ll arrived back in Bali at 3-4 pm Bali time and finish trip.
